The farm extends for about 80 hectares and produces wheat above all; the architectural style of the old rural houses was maintained unchanged.

A wide dining room was established where once was the cattle shed. On the first floor there are 7 simply furnished bedrooms, which sleep 20. Next to the house there's a wine cellar where you can taste the "l'Aglianico del Vulture" wine.

"Cantuccio del Vulture" is inside the area of Monticchio lakes, which occupy the crater of the now extinct volcano of Mount Vulture.

Excursions on horseback or mountain bike, through the woods surrounding the lakes, and fishing competition in the lakes themselves, are possible.

Interesting towns are situated in the surroundings, like Melfi and Lagopesole, with their eleventh and twelfth century castles, or Venosa, where the Latin poet Orazio was born, with the beautiful Trinità abbey, and its medieval frescos.
