The farm is at an altitude of 385 metres between Lake Bolsena and the seashore of Montalto di Castro, not far from ancient and full of atmosphere towns and hamlet like Tuscania, Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana and Civita di Bagnoregio.

A peculiarity of "La Piantata" is the presence of an Etruscan grave of the fourth century B.C., with the frescoed ceiling.

There's a riding centre and school where it's possible to put up their own horse.
